Enes Kanter Freedom si sente ostracizzato dalla NBA per la sua presa di posizione contro la Cina e contro i vertici di Nike su temi come diritti civili, persecuzione della minoranza etnica degli Uiguri e sui centri di produzione\lager in cui viene sfruttato anche il lavoro minorile.
Freedom, che ha disputato l’ultima stagione NBA tra Boston e brevemente Houston prima di essere tagliato, ha fatto parlare di sé negli ultimi mesi soprattutto per i suoi attacchi al leader cinese Xi Jinping, ai vertici di Nike e persino a LeBron James, e per la sua decisione di cambiare nome dopo aver ottenuto la cittadinanza americana, piuttosto che in campo, con sole 35 partite e pochi minuti.
Oggi l’ex Blazers e Knicks è in Israele, e alla stampa locale ha raccontato come dal suo punto di vista la NBA lo abbia estromesso perché personaggio scomodo. “La free agency dura un mese.
